Right after the 100th blog post was published on the At the Water’s Edge, I began work on a new web site for Beachfront Pottery. The original web site was built about 10 years ago, and it became difficult to update it. The WordPress platform gave me plenty to formats to choose from, and I think I found a format that is very visual, and it also allows textual information to be presented.
The new site (that you can access HERE) has 12 pages which include several portfolio pages to record older pieces (bowls, platters, wall hangings, tiles, sculptures). These pages will be expanded as I find more archived photos of pieces made in the last 4-10 years.
I have one page dedicated for most recent works, and this page will be updated as new pieces are made.
From the Welcome page you can reach my Facebook page and my Etsy store. In addition, there is a page for the link to my Etsy store. Eventually this page will have other links as well, including links to pages of ArtStlouis, GSLAA, and St Louis Artists’ Guild, where my ceramic studio was given space.
There is one page about the story of Beachfront Pottery, and another page to illustrate the crafting process. On the “Story” page I show the newly wired location for my kilns, and the picture of the now functioning studio in my basement.
In the future I will place more of the inspirations and narratives for my pieces.
So check out the new web site, and pass it on! www.beachfrontpottery.com
