The Call for Entry
The call for entry read: “Too often we focus on the finished product in art, yet, art is a process. Jacoby Arts Center wants to show that process to the community. So, our “Art is . . . process” exhibition is an all-media exhibition seeking to show the artistic process. We are asking artists to show us their inspiration, initial sketches, trial and error, and final product.”
The Ceramic Art Pieces
My ceramic pieces were the only ceramic art in this exhibit.
This was an unusual exhibit, because once my pieces were selected, I was asked (together with everybody else) to submit sketches, prototypes, photos of the workshop, construction stages in addition to the final piece.

In front on the pedestal is the Feeding Frenzy II pieces, and right behind it the prototype. On the wall are photographs of the construction process. All that was a part of the construction post I wrote some months ago.

The Ancient Manta I piece is on the pedestal, and on the wall is a photo of the first sketch, and then photos of steps in the construction process. All that was a part of the construction post I wrote some months ago.
